An evacuation centre has been set up at the local show ground, where people are being fed and clothed.

There is a daily list of what is needed ...
Today's needs include:
- Hay for animals is desperately needed. Beaumonts Dorrigo has offered to supply & deliver free, $29.50 bale for lucerne hay - 6657 2389
- Snack items
- Trail mix, etc
- Snap lock bags for kids
- Colouring-in paper
- Berocca or Arbonne essentials Fizz sticks
- Lip balm/chap sticks
- Soft drinks/Powerade
- Potatoes and onions
- Baked food for firefighters
The response so far has been amazing, with the centre overwhelmed with clothes yesterday after a similar call-out.
Items can be left at the Food Hub, 91 Wallace St, Macksville - it is staffed on Wednesday and Thursday, otherwise call 0414 628 739 to arrange drop-off.
