In a fast paced, physical match, it was the visitors, Nambucca, who struck first with an early goal to prolific forward Anna Champion.
Johanna Walsh doubled the lead moments later with her first strike on goal.
Dorrigo hit back with a nice shot that dipped over keeper, Carly Smith's head. So it was the Strikers who went to the break in the lead after an entertaining first half.
Nambucca started the second half on the front foot with Kyiesha Cohen showing urgency up front.
And it was Cohen who bagged a well-deserved goal to seal the match after more endeavour by Champion.
Strikers will take on the same opponents in the Big Dance on Saturday at 10am at C.ex International Stadium, Coffs Harbour. Dorrigo beat Orara in the qualifying final 5-0 and will be out for revenge against the Strikers.
All supporters are encouraged to bring a sea of red, white and blue to the stadium and cheer the girls on in the final game of the season.
Meanwhile, the Nambucca Strikers club committee recently applied for Level 1 accreditation with the National Club Accreditation Scheme.
Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) club development officer Phillip Andrews met with Strikers president Paul Cue to present a certificate to acknowledge the achievement.
Recognition through the National Club Accreditation Scheme is a signal to sponsors, grant providers, club members and the community that Nambucca Strikers Football Club has developed the quality of governance expected of all successful NNSWF clubs.
From their level 1 accreditation Nambucca Strikers FC can expect continued guidance from FFA and Member Federations to enhance their delivery of community football including support for game development including coach education.
Mr Andrews said NNSWF was excited and pleased with the work Nambucca Strikers had achieved.
"Nambucca Strikers Football Club is a motivated contributor to the local community providing positive experiences for players and their families engaging with football in the local area," he said.
"The Challenge Cup hosted by the club each season draws teams from all over the coast to the Nambucca area. On the afternoon of my visit it was fantastic to see so many young adults coaching and leading the young players through drills and games.
"We will continue to work with the committee of Nambucca Strikers Football Club as they strive to provide opportunities for their members and offer the best sporting experience available in Nambucca Heads."
Northern NSW Football clubs seeking more information about the accreditation scheme should contact Mr Andrews on 4941-7206 at the NNSWF club development team.
