At the Coroseum, the Strikers hosted Dorrigo who have been surging in the second half of the league.
The early exchanges were shared in an end-to-end test, until late in the half when poor communication at the back saw a ball free and Dorrigo made it one-nil.
Unable to scrape into the Top Four, Nambucca on the resumption were playing like a team with nothing to play for.
The highlanders were having none of that though, and took the result 3-nil - and it could have been quite a few more if some last touches had been better.
For the Strikers, Oliver Walsh was at his scheming, competitive best, Kenny put his body on the line in defence and Daniel Flack auditioned for a role up the park in 2020. Oh, and Blake Ryan was dominant - and could have finished with a double.
Down the M1, it was all to play for as semi-final certainties Macksville and Northern Storm went at it.
The Stingers dominated early, but the visitors made it count when they converted from a rare corner to go ahead.
The Reds lifted appreciably - and looked like the team which has been a heavyweight contender for most of the season.
Connor Ford hit a beautiful curving free that the Stingers couldn't quite put away in the 27th minute, and just before half time, Macksville had a zillion chances on a frantic, shambolic Storm goal.
The break did the hosts no favours, as they came out seemingly without focus and the lads from Korora needed no further invitation to go two to the good.
Snapped back to the job, Macksville lifted and it was a lickety-split response when Paul Coulter put the Reds on the board. 2-1, game on, and the Stingers looking more than likely.
Then a moment of madness. A back pass, a rushed, hashed clearance, and the Storm were in again to make it 3-1.
With time running short, Macksville threw long balls, chips, drives and kitchen sinks - and cracked the Storm when Brodie Bartlett pounced to bring it back to within a goal.
The drama continued right to the death when the Reds received a dottie - which Paul Coulter made no mistake of to net his second and secure the draw.
Macksville will take much from the performance and were strong across the park. Jack Rogan was a standout in both defence and attack, while Romy Hewson, Paul Coulter and Kamden Walker were in the mix for best on park.
