Guest speakers included local resident Leah Taylor, who is from one of the many islands that makes up Papua New Guinea, and Ruth and Noel who shared stories about their missionary days in the mountains.
Food was typical of the simple native foods with fish parcels, chicken Mumu and Sak Sak for desert. Morning tea consisted of predominantly coconut flavoured cakes.
Visitors were welcomed with a friendship bracelet made by one of our members in the colours of the flag.
A great day was had by all.
Macksville CWA meets the second Tuesday of the month at 10am in the rooms at 31 Princess Street. We also have craft days of a Monday. All welcome.
