Although the surf was small the glorious 25 degrees on the beach at Scotts Head and the warm water meant that no one was complaining at the Loggerheads Malibu Club's third Point Score Comp for the season.

The break coming off the point was the only place at Scotts to get a wave which became somewhat congested later in the morning.
Judges were kept on their toes to pick the competing Loggerheads from others looking for a wave.
Despite the size of the surf the morning was still hotly contested with two rounds of three heats being surfed before the Loggerheads hit the barbecue for some refreshments and tall stories.
- Round 1 first place-getters - Heat 1: Sean Peterson, Heat 2 - Manda Godfrey-Martin, Heat 3 - Joel Parkhouse.
- Round 2 first place-getters - Heat 1: Manda Godfrey-Martin, Heat 2 - Rylee Godfrey-Martin, Heat 3 Jeff Woodhouse.

Malibu Classic in July
The Loggerhead Malibu Club is gearing up for the 2019 Loggerheads Malibu Classic running July 26-28. The Classic began in 1985 and attracts hundreds of long-boarders to Scotts Head each year.
All categories in the event have now been fully subscribed and Scotts Head is bracing for an influx of some of the countries best surfers, with big crowds expected to come to watch from the beach.
