In the early match at Bellingen, the Stingers somehow withstood sustained pressure on their goal from the hosts for the first half hour without conceding.
Bellingen would rue frittering their many chances to get on the sheet, as Macksville put through a long ball which Brodie Bartlett gobbled, danced, and booted to put them one to the good, and that was the margin at the break.
On the resumption, Macksville found their groove and lifted appreciably. Bare minutes in, Brodie put a beautiful through ball to Braydon Melouney whose sights were locked and loaded on the strings to make it 2-nil.
Rather than drop their heads, Bellingen responded immediately, potting one of their own to return the contest to the balance.
The exchanges continued end to end though Macksville always appeared the more likely, and it was that man again Brodie to score next to take it to 3-1 and give them some breathing space.
It was time for the icing, and Stingers keeper Corey Forbes, who was magnificent between the posts including saving a dottie, kicked long to find Brodie out on his own, and he goaled to give the visitors a valuable 4-1 win and keep them at the top of the ladder.
Under lights at Coronation Park, the Nambucca Strikers - hard on the heels of Macksville at the top of the competition ladder - were all over Boambee in the first half.
Fifteen minutes in, and after peppering the Bombers goal, Kai Allan put a terrific ball through to Harley Parker and the lanky striker made no mistake in opening the scoring.
Boambee rarely threatened, too often relying on long kicks in a hope of creating something - though it was just one of these which caught the Strikers keeper off his line as the ball dropped into the top of the net to equalise.
Nambucca got something for their field dominance when they converted a dottie just before the break to inch ahead 2-1.
Early in the second half the Strikers were in again, to ease to 3-1, and went on to take the points 4-2.
