Update: woman in induced coma after Bowraville crash
A woman in her 70s, who was hit by a car in Bowraville yesterday, remains in an induced coma in the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The 78-year-old pedestrian was hit while crossing the main street, High St, at 3pm.
Doctors from the nearby surgery were quickly on the scene as was the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
She suffered a fractured ankle and pelvis and was placed in the induced coma before being airlifted to the hospital.
The Mid North Coast crash investigation unit was on the scene and will be interviewing the driver and witnesses in the coming days.
