For this event the best waves were running from the point through to Club Track.
The surf was small, seldom exceeding two feet, however there were long rides to be had in the clean and glassy conditions with some competitors riding over 200 metres in their heats, giving them plenty of time to pull off scoring moves.
Sixteen competitors rallied to surf in the 20-minute heats, with four surfers in each heat.
Each surfer's best two waves were tallied to decide the final places.
Round 1 first place-getters
Heat 1 - Michael George, Heat 2 - Mark Fuller, Heat 3 - Joel Parkhouse and Heat 4 - Jamie Lawson.
Round 2
Heat 1 - Joel Parkhouse, Heat 2 - Troy Martin, Heat 3 - Tony Burton and Heat 4 - Rob Marshall.
If long board surfing is something you are into or would like to try then come and meet the Loggerheads at 7.45am on Sunday May 28 at the Scotts Head Reserve Car Park (near the Surf Club).
Surfing is always followed by a barbecue get together.
