Southern Cross Austereo's (SCA) annual 'Give Me Five for Kids' fundraiser launches next month intending to raise more money for Macksville District Hospital, Kempsey District Hospital, Port Macquarie Base Hospital and Wauchope District Memorial Hospital.

Held each year in June, the fundraiser relies on the support and generosity of the Mid North Coast community. Last year an incredible $99,768.42 was raised, and this year, the hope is to crack $100 thousand.
Now in its 25th year, 'Give Me Five for Kids' has raised over $25.9 million for pediatric wards of local hospitals and children's health-related charities across SCA's 38 regional markets since its inception.
This year the event will be supported by 2019 ambassador, TV &media personality Shelley Craft, NRL Manly Sea Eagles player Trent Hodkinson and social media influencer Kat Springer, aka 'The Organised Housewife'.
"I am so excited and proud to be an official ambassador for Give Me 5 For Kids 2019. It's a great initiative which not only supports sick kids but aims to help their families and the hospitals to make a big difference in their lives," Shelley Craft said.
With an action-packed calendar of events including Kew Golf Day, Macksville Bowls Day, Kempsey Bowls Day, Rocking the Rocks Charity Gig, Port City Barefoot Bowls Day, along with ON AIR radio auctions throughout the month of June. Triple M Mid North Coast is imploring the local community to get involved and dig deep, helping Southern Cross Austereo hit its national target of $3.7 million.
"We are constantly amazed by the kindness of the community each year and would like to thank them for always digging deep and supporting this very worthy cause," Southern Cross Austereo Chief Operating Officer John Kelly said.
"To see the program grow from a simple coin drive on the NSW Central Coast in the 1990s into a national annual event benefiting more than 40 paediatric wards in local community hospitals across Australia is truly remarkable,"

Rockin' The Rocks Charity Gig

- Details: The Country Club is putting on a free evening of rockin' tunes with appearances from Chris Rose, The Barflys, Rhythm Kats, Irene Tugwood. Whilst entry is free, music fans are encouraged to dig deep and take part the charity auctions and raffles.
Port City Barefoot Bowls Party
- Date: Saturday June 29
- Time: 1pm
- Location: Port City Bowling Club
