"I'm very excited to have been selected for the NSW combined high schools state netball team, and I'm looking forward to playing," she said.
After applying, she was among 120 girls who played at the netball centre in Sydney. The girls played for three and a half hours while eight selectors decided which 28 would compete at the next level of trials. Finally, after playing her heart out, Arrin was among the 12 girls selected to join the team.
Arrin developed an interest in netball from an early age and has represented the Nambucca Valley on many occasions. She is also playing for the Macksville High School team and attends the North Coast Academy Of Sport.
Described as a good all rounder, she has recently been specialising in the wing defence centre position and hopes to continue playing for the foreseeable future.
Aside from Arrin, only one other girl from the North Coast attended the trials.
