A 28-year-old man was arrested after he attempted to run from scene when police stopped a suspicious vehicle on Giinagay Way, Macksville on Tuesday morning.

Checks confirmed the man's drivers license was disqualified and the vehicle was unregistered. A 33-year-old female passenger was also arrested for offensive language and possession of cannabis.
Both were charged at Macksville Police Station. The man was refused bail and appeared before Kempsey Local Court yesterday. The woman was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Macksville Local Court on June 20.
Domestic assault
Police arrested a 48-year-old man on Saturday after he presented himself at Macksville Police Station. The man was charged with a number of offences related to the domestic assault of a 40-year-old woman at a Nambucca Heads address on May 7.
He was released on bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on May 23.
Outstanding warrant
Checks on the 24-year-old male driver of a vehicle stopped by police in the early hours of Saturday morning revealed his drivers license was disqualified and he was wanted for an outstanding warrant.
The man was arrested and charged at Macksville Police Station with the traffic offence and the warrant executed. He will appear before Macksville Local Court today.
