Are you wondering where you can hear what the candidates have to offer our Nambucca Shire residents?

The Scotts Head Community Group is hosting a Meet-the- Candidates Forum next Wednesday, May 15 at the Scotts Head Public School in the Life Long Learning (LLL) Centre from 5.30-7pm.

All candidates except the Nationals have agreed to come.

The forum will be in two parts:

First, all candidates will be asked questions prepared by the community group on five subjects, namely climate change, border protection and treatment of refugees, wage stagnation, housing affordability/negative gearing and income inequality.

In the second part, there will be questions from the floor.

Candidates will have one minute to reply to each of the prepared questions. We ask that questions from the floor be brief with candidates also asked to be brief in their reply.

Interestingly, Scotts Head and Bellingen are the only two communities between Coffs Harbour and Port Macquarie holding a Meet the Candidates Forum.
