Nambucca Heads club president Gary Colston, whose hard work set all the improvements in motion, couldn't be happier with how the club is coming along.
"Everything is starting to come together; the renovations have started, the Sunday Sips is going great, we've been getting a good group of regulars," he said.
"The builders have been hard at work for the last couple of weeks, but there is still at least 4 to 6 weeks before completion.
"Sponsors and support from the community have been great, the outpouring of support, I can't thank everyone enough."

Among the changes are several upgrades the building has needed for years and a few issues that the recent construction has uncovered.
"The rendering is nearly done, they've just installed stainless steel lintels, the old rusted railings have been replaced, inside has been painted, ceiling fans are in, and custom made Stainless Steel beam supports are being installed," Mr Colston said.
"Our security has also received an upgrade, we now have motion activated security cameras.
"At this stage, we are looking at building a deck as the final part of the renovations; we will be looking at fundraising very soon.
"It has already come a long way; there is still more to do though, we have found a few lingering issues that need to be fixed. "
Aside from the renovations, the club president is also working to keep the successful Sunday Sips event ongoing for the rest of the year.
"Thanks to everyone who keeps coming back to our Sunday Sips the support we are getting is awesome," he said.
"We will continue to have them on the second and fourth Sunday of every month, 2pm until 6pm. This Sunday we are having a special Mothers Day sips, everyone is welcome to come down, have a drink, some food and check out the renovations progress.
"For future events, we are looking at getting another fridge, and local Andrew Holmes has made us a banner, so the community knows when we are open."
If that wasn't enough to keep him busy, the surf club president has also opened the building to the public to be rented out for events.
"We have been getting a lot of interest in renting out the surf club for events, this month we will have our first event, with several more already booked in," he said.
"If anyone has been thinking about booking out the space for a specific date, they need to get in touch as soon as possible; I'd hate for anybody to miss out."
The Surf Club relies heavily on sponsors in the community, anybody interested in helping out, donating or renting out the surf club can contact president Gary Colston on 0427 203 643.
