President of the Nambucca River Show Society, Lee Laverty, is confident that this year the show will continue to deliver the high quality experience that people have come to expect.
"We will have all the usual food, pluto pups, hot chips, milkshakes, scones, cakes, a barbecue; there will also be hot meals being served in the dining room, nobody will go hungry," he said.
"At this stage, all the popular attractions are making a return, the clowns, lucky dips, shooting gallery, lawn mower racing, the dog jump, which was a great success last year.
"There will be beef and dairy cattle, the poultry show, horse events, dairy goats and of course the wood chop.
"This year we also have something special for the kids, the petting zoo Old McDonald Farm is making a comeback, it hasn't been at the show for 15-20 years, there will be a heap of farmyard animals goats, pigs, ducks, chooks, it should be great."
Along with the usual pony rides and dodgem cars, the show is getting a few new rides that will keep all the adrenaline junkies very happy.
"We are getting a Ferris wheel, and it is massive; it would have to be at least 30m high, there will also be the Skywalker ride, it's the only one of its kind in Australia," Lee said.
