"When they announced the UK tour, I knew I wanted to go; I made that my goal and I strove for it, " Ulysses told the Guardian.
The strapping youngster now has his sights set on overseas action and his injury is a distant memory, but Ulysses credits some local help to his recovery and return to form.
"The guys at Soulitude Health, Blake Smoothie, were crucial with my recovery. I'm so grateful for how much they helped me," he said.
"I just went into a tackle and collided knees, it's all good now, I haven't been having any trouble with it."

Since starting at the Bowraville Tigers at the tender age of 10, Ulysses has always had many role models to look up to, including some famous family members.
"A lot of my family members play ... my cousin Greg Inglis, Preston Campbell, they are really inspirational, I look up to them for sure," he said.
"I started playing for something to do, and because a lot of my family played, I stayed because I love it, I stay fit, and I always meet a lot of new friends."
Ulysses' three-year contract with Parramatta is almost up, and he has also now entered his last year at school, but the Macksville High School captain is hopeful he will be able to make a career out of rugby league.
"I'm happy to play with any team that's willing to take me; I just do my thing and help out where I can," he said.
This November Ulysses will join his fellow North Coast Bulldogs teammates Lachlan Williams and Brock Parker as they play three games across the United Kingdom.
