As coordinator Michael Blockey put it: "Being disgusted with politics is the easy way out. Instead we must engage, we must challenge them so we can build a better Australia."
The first speaker will be Dr Richard Hil, sociologist, author and founder of the Ngara Institute at Mullumbimby, who will discuss the question: 'What does a democracy that works actually look like'.
He'll be presenting his own design .. which you are welcome to challenge with your own ideas.
The evening will start at 6.30 with Italian grazing and a drink, the talk begins at 7.30 followed by sweets and coffee. Cost is $29/head but no charge if you are not eating.
Ensure a place by booking early - and bring a chair in case it's full.
Dr Richard Hil is Adjunct Associate Professor in the School of Human Services and Social Work at Griffith University, Gold Coast, and convenor of the Ngara Institute.
