Bowraville Central School's 2019 Easter hat parade draws a crowd

Bowraville Central School Principal Dave Taylor, staff and students, were joined by educational leadership director, Sue Brown, for their Easter hat parade around the town on the last day of term.

Bowraville Community Preschool were invited to participate and merged with Bowraville Central along the way.

A large enthusiastic crowd of onlookers gathered outside the shops and businesses in the town centre. Delighted children were met with cheers, applause and 'high fives' as they made their traditional loop of High Street before heading back to Bowraville Central School.

The Easter Bunny made his appearance and handed out some chocolate eggs.

The crowd then watched, with much anticipation, the inaugural launch of Mr Owen Rushton's 'Egg Trebuchet', which fired devices containing raw eggs (made by students) into the air in the hope of landing unbroken some distance away.
