A 45-year-old man was arrested in Cooper St, Macksville on March 28 following an alleged report of a bag snatch from a 32-year-old woman.

Checks revealed the man also had an outstanding warrant. He was taken to Macksville Police Station where a search of his backpack uncovered a quantity of cannabis, three knives, drug paraphernalia and prescribed restricted substances.
The man was charged with a number of related offences. He appeared before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Wednesday).
Single vehicle accident
Police are investigating a single vehicle accident that occurred on Gumma Rd, Macksville about 2pm on Tuesday.
A 40-year-old woman is alleged to have lost control of her car, crossing the road and hitting a number of trees. The impact caused the car to spin around, coming to rest in the middle of the road.
The car sustained extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene. The driver was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus by ambulance for treatment.
Multiple offences
During the early hours of Saturday police were called to an altercation at a Macksville address between a 25-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman.
Police arrested the man, who was charged with a number of offences including aggravated break enter, robbery, sexual assault, breach AVO and assault police.
He is currently bail refused to appear before Kempsey Local Court on April 17.
Three car pile-up
Police are investigating an accident that involved three cars on Monday afternoon at the intersection of Link Rd and Giinagay Way, Nambucca Heads.
A 23-year-old woman was taken to Macksville Hospital; a 42-year-old woman was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus for treatment.
Arrest for outstanding warrants
On March 28 police arrested a 29-year-old man after he entered a shed on a property at Congarinni North.
He was taken to Macksville Police Station where checks revealed he had three outstanding warrants for numerous matters.
He was charged with offences related to enter dwelling with intent to steal, steal motor vehicle, trespass, use unregistered vehicle, driver disqualified.
Bail was refused and he will appear before Coffs Harbour Local Court on May 20.
P-plater stopped for drink/drive
Police arrested a 33-year-old male driver along Partridge St, Macksville on Saturday night after he returned a positive RBT.
The man underwent a breath analysis at Macksville Police Station and returned a reading of 0.028.
Being the holder of a P2 drivers licence, he was charged with Special Range PCA and will appear before Macksville Local Court on May 9.
