Teams are out today (Wednesday) clearing the carnage of yesterday afternoon's mini cyclone that cut a swathe through parts of the shire.

Hardest hit was Irvines Rd, Tewinga, where more than 90 trees were either destroyed or seriously damaged.
The upper reaches of Newee Creek also suffered with sheds levelled and roofs torn away.

Nambucca Shire Council's Green Space coordinator, Tim Woodward, said two teams of arborists were on the job and probably would be so for at least five days.
"There are a lot of trees that have had their crowns snapped and have debris hanging ... those branches could drop anytime, so we need to get all that cleaned up," Tim said.
"Some roads were blocked last night with trees and power lines down. That has been fixed and we made sure all residents had access to their homes.
"All roads are open today but the clean-up continues."

He said there was minor damage also on Rodeo Dr, but that was of a lesser priority for now.
