If you had to sum up the musical style of Glen Albrecht it might be best described as 'real country' and that's just what fans will get at the inaugural Macksville Music Muster March 28 to 31 at the Macksville Showground.

The man from Lower Wonga, not far from Gympie, Queensland has honed his craft for over 40 years and is coming to town to deliver traditional classic country music as one of the muster's headliners.
Glen started playing in his first band when he was just 13 and when you experience the connection he has with his guitar you will find it hard to believe that he is self taught.
There's a real edge to Glen's sound when he hits the stage and this was developed over his years traveling western Queensland as a solo act and as the lead guitarist for "The Webb Brothers". Glen has also work closely with the likes of Jeff Brown, Dean Perrett, Tania Kernaghan, Brian Letton, Rex Dallas, Norma O'Hara Murphy and the late Barry Thornton.
At times it has been a rough road for Glen as he lost his brother Russell, also a noted musician, in the 90's. Glen and his twin brother Brett recorded a touching tribute album to Russell in 1999 called "He was There". In 2008 Glen's songwriting came to the fore when he teamed up with rodeo photographer, Jenny Dyer, to pen the Aussie Rodeo anthem "Bucking Hell".
The song went to number five in the Hot Country Charts. Glen returned to the studio in 2012 to record an album of originals and great country classics called "Some Old Some New".
For Glen's latest release he has once again teamed up with his brother Brett to come up with the superbly produced album "Classic Country Together".
The Albrecht boys released this album at Glen's own Kenmore Park Music Muster in June 2018. For lovers of traditional classic country music you will walk away from Glen's show at the Macksville Music Muster very satisfied but wanting more.
