Those that have had the privilege of experiencing an Andrew Lloyd Webber production know the feeling of goose bumps on your skin and the hairs on the back of your neck standing up when the big songs are rolled out. It is the reason his shows are always world wide hits and why they run for so long in each city they are in.
The Nambucca Valley will get the chance to experience Webber musicals on On Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, when the Bowraville Theatre Singers bring the 'Songs of Andrew Lloyd Webber' to the Bowraville Theatre.
Bowraville Theatre Singers Director, Lissa Tardiani, and the singers have put together a stunning collection of songs from such Webber masterpieces as Evita, Cats, Phantom of the Opera and many more.
The Bowraville Theatre Singers have also taken it one step further and will perform an abridged version of the musical ‘Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat’.
The spellbinding vocals on offer will be matched with some technicolor visuals and, take this as a teaser, for a moment you may actually believe that Elvis is still with us!
The Bowraville Theatre Singers have been rehearsing hard to bring audiences a polished, interesting and musical afternoon featuring their choir, wonderful soloists and small groups. The concert will also feature a special guest dancer, Shelayna Boorer.
A significant aspect of this concert is that the Bowraville Theatre Singers are dedicating their performances to Bonnie Tardiani, their director Lissa’s mother, who passed away recently.
Bonnie was very well known and respected in the arts and music circles in Nambucca Valley, and the singers feel that it is an honour to be dedicating this concert to her memory.
The concert is on the weekend of March 23 and 24 at 2pm in the Bowraville Theatre and performances by the incredibly talented Bowraville Theatre Singers are always a sell out so get to the theatre early to avoid disappointment. Tickets are $15 at the door.
