All students and their friends and family are invited to a free breakfast prepared by MAS staff, before they have to head off to class, work or back home for the day.
"It is such a fun time getting to know everyone better" says Emma Sharkey, an MAS parent.
"Meeting my son's friends and their parents is really great."
Despite being considered the most important meal of the day, one in four children in Australia skips breakfast, according to information from healthykids.nsw.gov.au
Common problems associated with children missing out on a balanced breakfast include a loss of concentration in class due to being hungry, which also leads to no energy for playtime and snacking on unhealthy foods, such as chips or biscuits. A calm and healthy breakfast can prevent this and also helps kids to get into good habits that they can carry through life.
