The Nambucca Heads Surf Life Saving Club is getting ready to host another Sunday Sips event. The public event is taking place this Sunday, March 10 and March 24 from 3pm to 7pm.

"I’m trying to keep it simple; people can come down and have a bite to eat, have some drinks and socialise. It’s a fun afternoon for the community; everyone is welcome," Nambucca Heads Surf Life Saving Club president Gary Colston said.

"We are also looking at getting local musicians coming down to play this month as well."

The surf club is also getting ready for major renovations after a $120 thousand was awarded in late January by the member for Oxley, Melinda Pavey MP.

"We are getting there, the new handrails are finished, and we are slowly starting to modernise the building, we have a lot planned for April," Mr Colston said.
