Since participating in the 'Worlds Greatest Shave' two years ago at school, local teenager Sam Bellamy has not had a hair cut, until now.

"I was originally going to get it dyed; then I had an idea to shave it all off and grow it over a two year period. Now I'm going to shave it all off again on March 15 as part of the 'Worlds Greatest Shave' to raise money for the Leukaemia Foundation," Sam said.
"I'm also going to donate the hair to 'Angel Wigs' so they can make wigs out of it."
Everyone will be affected by cancer at some point in their lives, either personally, or through friends or family members, and Sam knows this all too well.
"I lost an Aunty to Ovarian Cancer in 2013, we faced a lot of hardship, families shouldn't have to go through that," he said.
Young Sam has received support from his family and School, but even with his good intentions, he has still received his fair share of criticism throughout his two-year quest.
"There have been a few harsh comments, telling me to get a hair cut, calling me a long-haired hippie, it has only been a small group of people though, I don't care, it's for a good cause,"Sam said.
"It's the first time I've really grown my hair, I'm used to having it short or shaved, so it took a bit of time to get used to."
The big day is set for March 15, during lunchtime at Nambucca heads High School, Sam will have his hair cut for the first time in two years.
