Everyone is invited and everyone is welcome. Come along with your family or your mates and celebrate all that is great about being an Australian.
Thanks to the hard work and Aussie spirit of the Organising Committee, and the sponsors, the Lions Club of Nambucca Heads, Nambucca Heads & Valla Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Nambucca Heads RSL Club, the Guardian News, Marine Rescue, VRA and the Nambucca Shire Council and all of the businesses who have supported the event we’re in for a great day.
Check out the program and you will see that there is something for everyone, from the jumping castle and the inflatable rock wall, novelty events and water activities to the Country Music, boot scooting and market stalls. There will be food stalls catering for every taste from Vietnamese and Japanese food, German sausages and corn on the cob to Pizza, crepes & donuts.
Everyone is invited to participate in the Giinagay Walk from Gordon Park to Florence Wilmont Drive and back. It’s not a race, so you can walk, jog, run, or push a pram or a wheelbarrow if you like. And don’t forget to get your tickets in the Australia Day Raffle.
Whether you are an Australian who can trace your heritage back 40,000 years; through the 200 years of European settlement; or you are a recent arrival to our shores, it’s a day to reflect on and celebrate how fortunate we are to live in this country. So come along and share the Aussie spirit and don’t forget your hat and sunscreen.
