Ezra was born at 8.50am on January 8 – one day before his due date. From the moment he arrived he was the centre of attention for his mum Kimberley Rosser, dad Ben Davies and big brothers Storm, who is almost three, and one-year-old Aleki.
Kimberley had a trouble-free pregnancy and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her third child, who came into the world with very little fuss.
Kimberley credits the Macksville Hospital staff for Ezra’s peaceful arrival.
“They were great. They helped me out and kept me calm and it all went very smoothly.”
Acting Maternity Unit Manager Carol Donnelly said the slower start to 2019 was in contrast to the end of the year when four babies were born within a week and a half in late December.
“We had quite a rush there at the end of the year, with babies arriving ahead of their due dates. It was such a great time, and although there was a nice little break, it is wonderful to welcome our first baby for the year,” she said.
Ezra’s proud grandparents are Kim Donovan and Caine Rosser from Macksville and Phyliss and Colin Ahoy from Armidale.
