A 43-year-old Valla man, who sustained head serious injuries in an accident on Valla Rd on Saturday morning, died on Tuesday in Coffs Harbour Base Hospital.

The accident happened about 6am when the man hit a large tree which had come down across the road near the intersection with Sullivans Rd .
Police, Nambucca Heads Fire and Rescue and Valla and Valla Beach Rural Fire Services attended.
The driver, who was the sole occupant, was trapped in the car before being extracted by NSW Fire & Rescue and taken to hospital by NSW Ambulance Paramedics. Valla Rd was closed for two hours while a Nambucca Shire Council officer and a Valla tree specialist company worked to clear the road – chainsawing and chipping the tree.
