It's back to the future this Christmas as retro children's gifts come back into fashion, as shoppers rush to buy last-minute presents for family and friends.

Classics like Lego, Jenga and Monopoly are in high demand, according to retailers.
While older generations grew up playing with Lego, it seems the newer generation is equally keen to construct the classic building blocks.
Lego tops the list of kids' toys at David Jones, closely followed by micro scooters and classic card games.
At Myer, another classic is proving a hit, with retail operations director Tony Sutton declaring "the traditional board games are back".
Online, Monopoly Cheaters edition is in demand, which eBay says has exploded in popularity with a 95 per cent boost in sales over the past month.
“This year, we’ve seen a shift away from screens, with kids being encouraged to play in new ways, often getting the whole family involved," eBay chief marketing officer Julie Nestor said.
"What we really love seeing is the resurgence of retro favourites – from Polly Pocket, to Tamagotchi and Monopoly. These nostalgia-inspired toys allow big kids to revisit their childhood all over again."
For the tech heads, there's little surprise that the usual suspects continue to top Christmas wishlists.
Bluetooth headphones were nominated by the retailers as items flying out the door. In particular, the noise-cancelling Bose QC 35s - a perennial favourite among travellers.
Other hot items include the Google Home, GoPro HERO 7, the Apple iPhone X, the Samsung Galaxy S9 and portable speaker UE BOOM 3.
Ms Nestor said Australians are choosing "connectivity 24/7" with their tech gifts this Christmas.
"Whether that’s with the latest Apple or Samsung smartphone release or the Google Home, we want smart and unplugged solutions wherever and whenever we need them," she said.
As a unique twist on the classic chocolate option, Mr Sutton said Myer had sold more than 300,000 personalised Toblerone bars, with consumers able to add the recipient's name to the gift packaging.
In the homewares category, Dyson vacuum cleaners prove that gifts can both suck and have a practical use at the same time.
While clothes and perfume remain popular, Happy Socks stand out as a "statement piece". "Bright, colourful socks are a trending stocking-filler putting a fun spin on socks," David Jones general manager of kids and menswear Chris Wilson said.
And as always, retailers are spruiking gift cards for those who are difficult to buy for.
"Gift cards are always popular Christmas presents as customers enjoy getting more for their money in the post-Christmas sales when they have access to current season stock in every department on every floor," Mr Wilson said.
