Via Screenworks’ Inside the Writers Room program, Mr Baldwin, will go to Fremantle to work with production company, Scripted at Fremantle.
Scripted at Fremantle has made its name with productions such as who has worked on the TV series Wentworth and Picnic at Hanging Rock.
“Fremantle are delighted to be involved in Inside the Writers Room, supporting our next generation of regionally-based storytellers to bring their life experience beyond the capital cities into our writers’ rooms,” Director Jo Porter said.
“The program is a great opportunity to encourage new voices and fresh perspectives, and the rich contribution made by regional writers to our diverse Australian screen industry.”
Screenworks Career Pathway Programs, made possible with the support of the NSW state government through Create NSW, is delivered annually to advance the career opportunities of regional screen practitioners in NSW. Participants are selected by an external assessment team of screen industry professionals and representatives from Create NSW.
Create NSW Executive Director Create Investment & Engagement Elizabeth Scott said Create NSW was delighted that seven talented regional filmmakers are one step closer to achieving their career goals with this unique program designed to support regional stories.
“Working with industry-leading teams will provide these early-career screenwriters and directors with a rare opportunity to develop skills and networks that they will find invaluable,” Ms Scott said.
