Abigail Hazelwood, Sonja Stone, Hayley Jacob-Harju and Laura Hughes, travelled to Sydney for the the State Debating Championships.
The girls, who also made it through to this competition last year, placed 5th overall. But more than the eventual placings, these girls have learnt so much by being able to compete at this competition.
They had a great time staying in the beautiful old buildings at Sydney University. It was also opportune to catch up with former teacher Bill Richardson, who used to champion the debating teams at NHHS.
Congratulations, girls, on your efforts in debating this year, and also on the way you conducted yourselves on these occasions.
