Now the VRA needs your help.
Volunteers have been declining in all our community services – RFS, SES, Red Cross, Scouts and the VRA is not immune.
The Nambucca District Rescue Squad (VRA) is now at a serious crossroad because without new members willing to become active Recue Operators, the squad will have to fold and bring to an end this essential Valley service.
Time has proven that when the chips are down and our communities are in crisis, like the recent bushfires in Queensland, it’s our volunteers in emergency services that keep us safe and come to the aid of local rural communities.
Your local VRA will be holding information and recruitment sessions to try to bolster the number of active members and thus ensure the ongoing viability of the squad.
If you are interested in becoming a member then join us at Macksville Ex-Services Club on Tuesday, December 18 at 7.00pm or Nambucca Heads RSL Club on Wednesday, December 19 at 7.00pm to find out more.
