A community information session will be held at Nambucca Community and Arts Centre on Thursday, as part of Nambucca Shire Council’s initiative to involve the community in shaping a new coastline and estuaries management program for the Nambucca Valley’s waterways.
Public feedback on the management of the Nambucca Shire coastline and estuaries is invited through a community survey, conducted by Hydrosphere Consulting on behalf of Nambucca Shire Council and the Office of Environment and Heritage.
At Thursday’s information session at Nambucca Heads, community members are invited to drop-in and share local knowledge and ideas about future management of our beaches and waterways with the project team. The information session will be held from 12.30pm to 3.30pm, with a short presentation to be given at 1:30pm.
More information is available on the project web page at www.hydrosphere.com.au, including links to a suite of existing management plans, strategies and estuary health documentation.
You can have your say via the online questionnaire or printed copies are available at the Nambucca Council Administration Building, Macksville Library and the Nambucca Heads Library.
The survey will be open for feedback until 11 January 2019.
