Roughly 150 people attended the special event on November 3, among their number were the first principal, Dr Maurice Brunning, first school captains Ms Kellie Standing and Dr Guy Ballard, former staff members, students and community members.
After speeches attendees had a walk around the school viewing photos from the past and present while also noting the many changes since their time. Later that afternoon everyone gathered at the Nambucca Heads Bowling Club where everyone caught up and reminisced about the "good old days."
Congratulations to the small but enthusiastic committee, Mrs Pat Nichols, Mrs Yvonne Graham, Mrs Barbara Redman and Mr Neil Gerrard, who worked tirelessly to bring the day together.
“We look forward to the next 25 years of education at Nambucca Heads High School.”
