WITH a 20-14 win, it was the pairing of Andy DalSanto and Norm Riddell who would be up for a chance at the cash jackpot at Bowraville bowls last Thursday. Runners-up were Roy Tape, June Summers and Bo McKay. The jackpot remained intact so be there this arvo for a lash at over $300 and prizes.

Saturday saw the final in the Mixed Fours between Lawrie Medbury, Pat Clough, Chris Dawson and Graeme Allen and Ken McKelvie, June Summers, Greg Kirkham and Paul O’Neill. Yet another compelling final at the Den with the latter up 14-12 after 13 ends and then going on with the job to take the title 24-16 on a slick ‘big’ green, wonderfully prepared by Steve Johnson.
This Saturday sees the last team event for the year decided in the Mixed Triples and following the game will be the long awaited return of the calcutta on the Consistency Singles event. It’s been a while between drinks but it returns this Saturday in all its glory starting at $1 per ticket, $5 for 6 or $10 for 12. Be there for a great evening.
Last but not least, the Open Pairs tournament takes place on Sunday, at the time of writing there was still a couple of spots available. Go Bowra!
