Sunday may have been a bit of a gloomy day weatherwise for some, but it didn’t stop over 100 Nippers from hitting the sand at Nambucca Heads Main Beach for the season’s interclub carnival between Nambucca and Macksville-Scotts Head.

The annual event allows kids from each club to mingle with other local Nippers and make some new friends, while providing some light competition.
And for a lot of our Nippers, it is their first taste of a carnival.
The two clubs, while neighbours, don’t usually compete against one another – they’re in different regional zones from each other.
But Scotts Head will host a twilight inter-club day in the new year which will see the two clubs join up once again for some more surf hijinx.
