Emergency services were alerted at 9.20pm last Wednesday after a south-bound truck laden with hay bales allegedly crossed to the incorrect side of the highway and rolled onto its side partially blocking northbound traffic.
The 22-year-old man who was driving was taken to Coffs Harbour Health Campus with minor injuries.
Collision with parked vehicle
A 20-year-old man was arrested after the vehicle he was driving allegedly collided with a parked vehicle and he tried to flee the scene.
The impact occurred just after 8pm on Friday evening on Sturdee St, Macksville.
Police said the man tested positive in a random breath test at the accident site, and later returned a score of 0.189 in a breath analysis test back at the police station.
His driver’s licence was suspended and he was issued a court attendance notice to appear before Macksville Local Court on December 6.
Family Dispute
A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with two counts of destroying property and common assault after an alleged family dispute in Bowraville on Saturday.
He was given bail to appear before Macksville Local Court on December 6.
