There’s a young man out there who’s heart is breaking for his best friend, Mac.
Mac is an 11-month-old chocolate Labrador and loyal service dog to 9-year-old Charlie Lambeth, who has non-verbal autism.
“They’re inseparable,” mum, Nicole, said.
“Mac helps with absolutely everything – he takes Charlie to school every day in the car.”
On Saturday night, at around 8pm – just as the fireworks were sounding for the Macksville Gift celebrations – Mac asked to go out to the toilet.
After a few minutes the family heard two distinct barks to the left of the house and went to investigate.
Mac was nowhere to be found.
Nicole said that while Mac is a young dog, he’s never reacted to fireworks before, and he’s never attempted to jump the fence. The family is at a loss in trying to understand what happened to him.
The family has spent all weekend searching for Mac, who lives in Sturdee St, Macksville, and are desperate for any information locals might have as to his whereabouts.
If you have seen this lovable and very friendly brown lad, please give Nicole Lambeth a call on 0455 293-504.
