After 15 years in their cosy but cramped riverside premises, the Salloum family business, Macksville Automotive Service Centre, has moved up the hill into what was until recently D & B Autos.
See the changes here:
“It’s quite a transformation,” Maree said.
“We were all on top of each other down there and now we have all this space … it is much more efficient for us all, especially for the organisation and work flow of the boys.”
With the makeover finished after a busy five weeks, including some redesigning of spaces, a fresh coat of paint and one week for the actual move, the new workshop also offers customers the luxury of a comfortable place to wait for their car with a complimentary cuppa.
All three of the Salloum’s sons have done their apprenticeships with their father, with Jamie, now 27, still part of the team. Add to that daughter Alex, who is doing her traineeship in business administration and book-keeping alongside her mother, and the familial line remains unbroken up until now.
George and Maree would like to thank their children, the tradesmen and friends who helped with the move and also all their customers, who have offered so much support and positive comments over the last few weeks.
The team look forward to serving you from their new Wallace St premises.
