Despite green drought conditions, farm displacement and cautious economic climate making life challenging for most of NSW and many parts of Australia, activities like the ProAg field days are vital to the continuing well-being of the rural sector and farming communities.
Group manager of Fairfax Rural Events, ProAg organisers, Kate Nugent, said this was the once-a-year opportunity for the rural industry to stay up to date with the latest products and services.
“Indeed, in difficult times, most farming enterprises work harder to make their operations more efficient and productive,” Ms Nugent said.
“By maintaining equipment and machinery in peak working order, including upgrading and replacing as possible, and by keeping on top of modern developments in services and technology, Australian farmers in particular maintain their reputation among the world’s best in agribusiness.”
This year at Macksville Showgrounds you’ll see hundreds of agri-products and services on display, confirming the Mid North Coast-based field days as the biggest annual agricultural event for the region.
More than 10,000 visitors are expected over the event’s two day program. Exhibitors will be setting up displays to showcase, highlight and demonstrate a rich diversity of products and services, including many new developments which highlight new technology and innovation and provide information to professionals on the land.
Ms Nugent said she was confident that, given the strength and diversity of exhibitor numbers this year, visitors will be impressed and well served.
ProAg 2018 supported by bcu will be staged at Macksville Showground – and it’s free admission. The event will run on Friday and Saturday, November 2-3. Car parking gates open from 8.30am and the event runs from 9am to 4pm daily.
