This competition is held at bridge clubs throughout Australia, where every pair plays the same hands. Their results are recorded and then overall winners are declared.
According to club oresident, Richard Levy, Stuart and Jennie are a delightful couple who play a ‘mean game’ of bridge.
“We are so proud of them, especially as the Nambucca Valley Bridge Club is a minnow compared to some of the bigger bridge clubs around Australia,” he said.
“Coming in the top two in Australia is a fantastic achievement.”
Bridge is a popular pastime in Nambucca.
Bridge is hugely stimulating for the brain and and it has even been said to stave off degenerative diseases.
