Shane Langley had his best round ever to return a nett 65 to win the monthly medal with Allan Clarke winning the spoon for the best gross score with a two over 74.
Nett winners: A Grade Gary Clarke, B Grade Tony Adams, C Grade Shane Langley.
Don Forrester took out the front nine with Steve Ash continuing his fine form to take out the back nine.
Nearest the pin shots on the 4/13th went to A Grade Ross Donnelly, B Grade Mike Parker and C Grade Steve Ash. Steve also took out the $30 voucher for the nearest of all grades. Other pin prizes went to Max Graham and Paul Donges.
Troy Grace hit a huge blow on the par four 11th to drive the green and record an eagle.
This Saturday is a single stableford event sponsored by Mainstar Industries, while on Sunday Barry McDonald will sponsor the Macksville Open Day. There will be two shotgun starts – 7am and 10.30am. Spots are still open so contact the club on 6568-1400 to book.
Meanwhile, a number of knockout matches were playedon Saturday: Steve Ash and Clive Friedman defeated Steve Hunt and Paul Donges in their fourball semi-final and Cameron Knox defeated Michael Simpson on the second playoff hole in their singles knockout.
