Bowls

Bowraville

Paul O’Neill reports – victory last Thursday at the Den to Bob Mackay, Pat Clough and Andy DalSanto with a 20-13 win. Runners-up were Lloyd Laird, Louise Schrama and Greg Kirkham. The jackpot remained intact so climbs again for this afternoon’s edition of social mirth.

The men’s Triples final was played on Saturday on a moderately heavy track with defending champs Pat Clough, Beau McKay and Paul O’Neill taking on Ken McKelvie, Greg Kirkham and Matt Hopper. After going down 4-9 after eight ends, the latter trio replied with 10 shots of their own over the next four, thanks in large part to some great lead bowls from ‘Mac’. At end 17, O’Neill’s crew were only down 13-17 but that was all they could manage to go down 25-13. Well done to the winners.
