A Star is Born features, Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga in a romantic, dramatic and musical creation.
Their on screen chemistry is amazing, and I hope this is the first of many movies we see them in together.
A Star is Born is a remake of the 1937 classic directed by William Wellman. In the 2018 version it is Bradley Coopers turn to update, direct and star. We all knew Lady Gaga could sing, but her acting talents are equally remarkable. I would not be surprised if she takes home a best actress at the next awards. I believe this movie will definitely be awarded with the best original composition award as well.
The story follows successful musician, Jackson (Bradley Cooper), who helps a young singer, Ally (Lady Gaga), find her way to fame.
The audience is aware from the onset that Jackson is an alcoholic, and during one of his drunken adventures, he stumbles into Ally at her performance in a pub. After a night of talking together in a parking lot, it’s true love in the first night.
We see the waitress/transgender singer Ally struggle with her affection towards Jackson at first. Then we see their relationship bloom as Ally confines her secrets and songs with Jackson. Not to mention he is one very persistent man.
Ally’s career is set in motion when she is invited to one of Jackson’s performances, where he insists she sings her original compositions on stage with him. Ally rejects his request at first; however, when she hears the band start to play her song, and the crowd cheer, she walks onto the stage and sings with Jackson.
After this, Ally is pursued by music managers for her talent, and she takes her own music journey, branching out from Jackson’s influence. As Ally’s fame shines, Jackson’s fades and their life together begins the unravel.
