The Sunburnt Celts will appear at 2NVR’s Studio 3 Live on Friday, September 21, 6pm to 8pm at 834, Rodeo Drive, Tewinga. This is a free event for the whole family.
The Sunburnt Celts formed over 15 years ago with some legends in the folk/Irish music scene.
The line up still includes Mal Winckle and Anton Supierz, plus Mark Feeney, Dane Clarke and, latest addition, Mick Giles, who’s been performing with the esteemed Mid North Coast group, Tallowwood, for a number of years.
The Sunburnt Celts have a style which features Australian bush, folk and country with a distinctive lean into the Irish tune scene, covering artists such as Lunasa, The Bushwhackers, Redgum, John Williamson, and some original songs and tune arrangements.
On stage, instrument variety includes fiddle, uilleann pipes, piano accordion, low D whistle, harmonica, mandolin, cittern, flute, tin whistle and guitar, plus vocals.
Guests can bring along drinks and nibbles. You might also need your dancing shoes! The show will also being live on 2NVR 105.9fm and streaming.
