The team were busy demonstrating the makings of a boomerang bag, and showing these trusty old machines, owned by Norm Poole, Dorothy Channels and Janice Tait.
The group are now keen to have one of their own, so if you have an old machine that needs a new home, then please contact us.
We have been very blessed over the past year of operation with donations of fabrics and machines from the community.
We have plenty to keep us going...but we would welcome some more volunteers to keep up the demand for the wonderful bags we make.
Sewing bees are held every Wednesday from 10am to 3pm in the Pioneer Community Centre, 70 High Street Bowraville (or you can make bags at home). For more information or inquiries contact 0400 828-471 or 6564-7908 or email marion.syratt@gmail.com
