LOCAL MP Melinda Pavey has announced that a large infrastructure program will start soon in Nambucca Shire with four major projects awarded funding.

Mrs Pavey said these projects have been approved under the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund.
“On behalf of the Nambucca community, I congratulate council for putting these projects forward, and for the professionalism and quality of the applications,” Mrs Pavey told the Guardian.
“It is very pleasing to see that work come to fruition and it will be exciting to see these major works get underway.
“Equally, I’m sure the community will also very much appreciate the lasting benefits of these projects as they are completed.”
Projects and funding:
Bowraville Connections - Children’s playground for Bowraville - $264,180
Revitalisation of the V-Wall Precinct - Carpark reconfiguration, open space improvements and place-making - $472,133
Tennis court and facility Improvements and upgrades - Macksville and Taylor’s Arm - $68,298
Upgrade of Phillip Hughes Oval, Macksville - Stage 1 - $342,266.
Mrs Pavey added that there are other exciting joint NSW Government-Nambucca Shire Council projects in the pipeline and these will be announced in the near future.
