The local karate 4th Dan teacher is assisting Nambucca Valley OOSH with a program to a group of children who otherwise may not have been able to participate. This helps to take the pressure off families as the children can attend extra sporting activities which does not affect the parents’ work schedule.
The children will be able to attend and progress through the different belts as they continue to achieve each level and complete grading at the end of the year. This is a great initiative for not only their health but will assist with the child’s confidence, teach self-respect and socialisation skills.
“Thank you to Marcel of JKA Mid North Coast Nambucca and also Matt Baker who is on the Lifetime Connect board for presenting the karate uniforms to the kids,” Lifetime Connect general manager Glenys Munro said.
