Police were called to a property on East Street at 3:30pm Monday afternoon and attempted to speak with the man inside who was wanted for outstanding warrants.
Around 30 police were deployed after the man refused to leave and speak to police.
The siege ended at 9:30am on Tuesday morning.
When police entered the premises they found the man in the roof cavity of the house.
He was taken to Kempsey Police station and charged with a number of offences which included armed robbery in the Port Macquarie area and outstanding warrants.
The man appeared in Port Macquarie local court today.
