Slice of History

St. James opened in 1899 and is the oldest Anglican Church in the Nambucca Valley.

“She has seen many saints and sinners walk through her doors over the years.”

There will be historical papers to take a browse through and you can even pick up a complimentary bookmark.

The best cuppa in town

Take a break from your shopping and recharge by enjoying some delicious fare at Murphy’s Coffee Lounge.

After only three years in Bowra, Murphy's enjoys a very loyal following of serious coffee lovers. The Botero blend served is roasted in Maclean on the Mid North coast of NSW, providing a truly local experience.

The cafe interior presents an old world charm in keeping with the verandah post town of Bowraville. It’s a comfortable, friendly space to meet with friends for a chat or rest during your travels.

Murphy's offers a selection of homemade biscuits, cakes and slices to enjoy with your coffee or other beverage.

Customers requiring gluten and dairy free items are also catered for.

If you are in town and looking for a light lunch, freshly-made sandwiches are always available, or perhaps a quiche or gourmet pie, both served with a healthy salad.

In winter, soup is on the menu.  It’s all about country-style homemade fare.
