Bowraville bowls titles secured

LUCKY winners at Bowraville bowls last Thursday were Ron Gleeson and Garry Towner who also picked up the jackpot of $180 after a biggest margin victory of six shots.

Runners-up were Ken McKelvie, Laurie Summers and Beau McKay. 

Men’s A Grade singles action saw the two semis played on Saturday with victories to Paul O'Neill and Matt Hopper who won 31-19 over John Cochrane and 31-12 over Graham Allen respectively. The final will be played at 1pm this Saturday.

On Sunday the Men’s Pairs Final was played and won by Paul O'Neill/David Johnson who survived a late scare from Chris Wills/Greg Lamberth to take the title 22-20. The Mixed Pairs Final was also played with June Summers and Matt Hopper snaring the four shots required on the final end for a 25-24 win over Tristram Edwards/Lyn McKay. 

The annual Classic Triples tournament is on Sunday.
